Gettin' Back To My Roots

Last year, just about once a week, I hopped on my bike and went exploring with my camera. I love this city and I love photographing the people that live here. Since I've gotten into wedding photography, it's sort of taken a back seat because I've been so busy. But last night my impulsive streak got the best of me and I took off for downtown around 9pm. I usually try and steer clear of the monuments because they're photographed to death, but I hadn't actually been up to the Washington Monument in ages. If you haven't already, you have to explore the mall at night. It really is a completely different environment and I think, much more beautiful (and also about 20 degrees cooler).
